 "Difficult" 2010-02-05
By R. Tyson
I own the Hohner Super Chromonica and thought this one would be a simple 12 hole that I could carry in my pocket. Problem is, the holes are so close together that it's difficult to play one note at a time. The Chromatic is much more comfortable to play despite its size.

"Best Harmonica for my needs so far..." 2008-08-08
By Matthew Evans (CA, USA)
This is the third type I have purchased so far, the other two being the Hohner Special 20's and Lee Oskar Major Diatonic. As far as quality, warmth, looks, and appeal, this harmonica beats them all hands down in every category! My favorite thing about this harmonica is the classic wooden comb, giving it a much more rich, folky, Bob Dylan-esque tone (which is what I was going for). I find bending and overblowing much easier on this harmonica as well although that is not what I bought this harmonica for.

There is a reason that this is the most storied and popular harmonica of all time. It truly has made me a believer. As for some future purchases to look into, if this is indeed the type of harmonica you are looking for, check out the new line of wooden combed harmonicas made by Suzuki, the Fire Breath and Pure Harp. I have a Fire Breath on its way and can't wait to compare the two!

All in all, this purchase taught me that the wooden comb might be what I was looking for to get that warm, thick, rich tone (as opposed to a metal or plastic cob which will give you a more bluesy, sharp tone). If you are just starting out like I am, go out and purchase different harmonica makes and models when you need a new key. It lets you see what's out there in finding the sound that most appeals to you and the process is so much fun! It's like opening a new pack of baseball cards every time!

I hope this review helped! I wish you all success with your harp playing!

 "Great harp" 2009-09-14
By C. Meyer
This is the second harp I've ever bought. The first was a Hohner Marine Band in the key of G. This is really a great harp for playing the blues. It has a great tone and the lower notes are very easy to bend whilst maintaining the good tone. My only issue is that I have fairly large hands, and it's a little small for my liking. I tend to lose my grip compared to my recently purchased Hohner "Blues Harp" in the key of D, which is very slightly bigger and thus easier for me to hold onto.

"good item but poor service" 2009-06-03
By Nicolas J. Hilliard
The harmonica is great, great sound and good tone. But it took over 2 weeks for Amazon to get it to me. Very satisfied with the product. Very dissatisfied with the service from Amazon

 "Great little harp" 2009-04-03
By loadedlemons (USA)
I'm a beginner harmonica player. Just moved up from the $3.99 cheap brand played in a brace, to this one. Love the difference in quality sound this has. I'll be buying one in the Key of D soon.

 "Just like Neil" 2009-03-20
By Mark Twain (Colorado)
For me, this is the standard. Get the Key of G to play Sugar Mountain and Heart of Gold. Get a key of C to play Helpless. Now you are set!

 "Great for the value" 2008-12-14
By M. Smolkin (USA)
I am very happy with this Honher Marine Band Harmonica. Is the 5th one I buy, this time in Key of G, and I still keep on buying them because their sound is clear, the materials are really good and they last for ever.

 "I love these harps" 2008-03-13
By Lenny Bluzman (Arizona)
I've been playing since I was a kid and like these best. I've tried many brands and materials. I,along with many friends and pro players, prefer these to any other.
