 "He loves them!" 2009-12-05
By Bonnie Becker (Chicago, IL USA)
Purchased these maracas for a 10-month-old who had enjoyed a similar product in a play group. He loves them! They are of extremely good quality. The heads are large enough that they cannot be put entirely into the mouth. I believe these will be popular for a long time, as they do not look like "baby toys".

 "Ultra Cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 2009-05-12
By Lorenzo (NY USA)
This thing arrived today, it's awesome but the only thing that withdraw a little is that it's no playable at all. The only noise you get it,s a squeak. I love it anyway.

"Great - especially for your children" 2008-11-11
By Nicole T. (Newington, CT)
I purchased one of these Harmonica's for my 3 y.o. daughter at a local fair. It was the first thing that I bought when we got there and my daughter played it the entire time. I was very happy that the sound that comes out is pleasant. When we left 5 hours later, she was still playing it. She likes to wear it around her neck to this day.

 "such fun" 2008-09-15
By Rob in Jersey (NJ, USA)
Love this little thing. While you wont be composing Bach on this, the harmonica is fun and works. Also very attractively made and sturdy, well worth the price.

"Hohner MIni Harmonica - unique purchase" 2007-01-03
By P. Seigworth (Indiana, PA)
My dad played the harmonica very well and I purchased a couple of these little ones in his memory to give to his great granddaughter. What a unique idea. At his funeral service, I had some of his "recorded music" playing in the background and right before the final words, I asked my little granddaughter to play the little Hohner Mini - which she did -- and what a memory.

By Sami Jadran (Germantown, Maryland United States)
My daughter got this when she was 12 months age now she is 16 months and still plays with it. She loves putting her hands thru the handle and holding it. She shakes it and each one of them makes different, gentle music intresting sound. She giggles and laughes. Her four years age brother loves it and plays with it too.

Great way to introduce little one to music, it is safe and interesting, holds young ones attention.

 "Mini is good" 2009-07-07
By Michelle Hobbs
It is small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. I love it, there are four notes. It is probably not a good harmonica to learn on, but if you just want an instrument that's easy to play and can fit in your pocket this is perfect.

 "Asome mini harp!" 2008-04-24
By Amanda Gorczynski
I am a sereious harmonica player and i would recomend it to anyone. it has great tone and the tuning is almost perfect for a factory made harmonica

"A Nice Christmas Tree Ornament?" 2007-11-05
By J. Taylor (Illinois, USA)
Yes, it's a tiny harmonica and yes, it's somewhat "cute." However, to be quite honest, this thing is utterly unplayable. I don't mean to sound angry; I mean that if you wanted to play the harmonica on the Hohner 38C Mini Harmonica, I really don't know if you could. The reeds are out of tune and when you blow into all the holes, the sound that comes out of it does not even remotely resemble what you would expect to come out of the first four holes of a "real" harmonica.

I only bought this because I was buying a different harmonica and had the option to also purchase this one. I'm not going to rant about how this is a waste of money, because it's less than $2, but I don't suggest buying this "harmonica" if you have intentions of playing it. You could use it as a nice key chain or Christmas Tree ornament, but beyond that, its functionality is severely limited.

 "It's junk" 2007-10-07
By April L. Salter (NY)
If you want a nice mini harmonica, I'd highly recommend paying a few dollars more and buying a german made, hohner "little lady". They are much easier to play and sound a whole lot better. I bought a batch of some of those "mini harmonicas" but these ones are made in china and are a very inferior product, for a cute little gag gift, this kind is ok, but if anyone wants a mini harmonica they plan to play, rather than have for looks, I reccomend getting a REAL "little lady".

Shorter, 8" long, clear plastic rainstick, with colorful plastic beads. Special prisms in the walls of the instrument create a rainbow of colors as the beads cascade through the tube. Two rubber rings help to give an easy grip when used as a shaker. The combination of sound and color makes this product a delight for children.

 "good for a child" 2008-08-01
By T. Frost (CA)
This rainmaker is brightly colored and made of plastic, which is good for a young child. It doesn't sound as much like real rain as the more realistic stick-looking ones do, but it's good for a toy and a young child will find it fascinating. Quality construction and good size.

 "NICE !" 2008-05-29
By Happy Traveling Mom (North Carolina)
My son liked this item alot when we first got it. It kept his attention quite a bit. He doesn't play with it much after 3 months, but isn't that the case with most toys and toddlers? It is fun to use with other instruments when listening to music.

 "WONDERFUL" 2008-03-03
By TwinkleToes (Dallas, TX)
This is the most wonderful toy ever invented. I worked with babies in a hospital for two months over the summer and this was the only thing I needed to make them stop crying. Even while they were in what could only be immense pain the remained fascinated with the rainstick. It can be a little bit loud, so it's not ideal for public areas, but seriously, I swear by the rainmaker.

"Pleasing, but not authentic sound" 2007-01-12
By onmymerryway
This rainmaker is really pretty and bright - wonderful visual stimulation for a young child or anyone with visual limitations that are stimulated by bright colors. The size is just right for a toddler or older to use independently. The sound, though pleasing, is not an authentic rain sound that you might get with a wooden rainmaker.
