The smaller scale of this instrument (considered ¾ sized) is specially designed with the younger player in mind and is highly recommended for the players that are starting between the ages of 8-12. This instrument also comes equipped with light gauge nylon strings for easier fingering as to not discourage the first time player, and includes extra strings and string winder. Hohner HC02P 3/4 Sized Classical Guitar Package I am the director of a teaching studio with three guitar teachers. This is a great way to go for an early age beginner. Not too big but ample enough to grow into for awhile, nylon strings nice on the fingers, Hohner seems to have good quality control, often a problem at this price!
